Overview

ReadyStack is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

Information we collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:

  • Account Information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
  • Download Information: Your downloads and the download tokens associated with your account. ReadyStack does not charge for recipes or build kits; downloads need only an account.
  • Email confirmation: A hash of each confirmation link we email you (never the link itself), and when you confirmed your address.
  • Card payments on the Donate page: processed by Stripe on its own page. We do not see or store card numbers.
  • Earlier orders: before October 30, 2026 some build kits came with a card payment or a crypto transaction. We keep those records (for a crypto transaction: the coin, transaction id and amount, all public on its blockchain, the email given and the IP address it came from); nothing new is collected this way.
  • Contact Information: Only when you reach out to us via email.
  • Advertising measurement: Google Ads collects information about your visit through cookies and similar technologies so we can measure our own advertising. We do not show ads on our pages. See Advertising and cookies.

Data encryption

All customer data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. This includes:

  • Email addresses and contact information
  • Account credentials (passwords are hashed using bcrypt)
  • Download history
  • Download tokens and session data

We use industry-standard TLS encryption for all data transmission and encrypted database storage for data at rest.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to:

  • Provide downloads to registered accounts
  • Send transactional emails (email confirmation links, download links)
  • Respond to support inquiries
  • Improve our products and services

Google uses the information it collects for ad measurement under its own privacy policies, as described in Advertising and cookies.

Data retention

We retain your account information and download history for as long as your account is active. Download links expire 7 days after they are issued; get a new one from the product's page while you are signed in, or contact us. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Stripe: Card payment processing for the Donate page. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Resend: Email delivery. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Ads: Measurement of our own ad campaigns. Subject to Google's policies for partner sites.
  • Cloudflare: Delivers and protects our website, and processes the network information every visit sends (such as your IP address). Subject to the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Advertising and cookies

We do not show ads on readystack.dev (we removed Google AdSense and Infolinks in October 2026). We use Google Ads to measure our own advertising.

  • Google's advertising cookies let it measure whether a visit came from one of our ads, and, under Google's own policies, use your visits to this and other sites to show you ads elsewhere.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google's Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings.

Cookies set on readystack.dev itself:

  • rs_token (ReadyStack): set only when you sign in, to keep you signed in for up to 30 days.
  • _gcl_au (Google): used to measure our own ads.

Google's advertising cookies are set on its own domains. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage on your device.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
